HMS SOLEBAY.

Battle Class Destroyer.

These ships are referred to as the 1942 class. They embraced all the features that had been sought after during the war years, but so complicated was the weapons fit that only one of the class was completed for war service during 1944. A further six joined the fleet in 1945. A further 10 were completed in the 42 class and 8 in the modified 1943 class.

 

The Model.

47 ½ "long. 5"beam.  Scale 1/96.

Twin screws operated individually by forward/reverse Hi-Tech speed controllers powered by 6V lead acid battery.

Motor Tug.

The Model.

Scale 1/50. Length 26". Beam 7". 

Single screw mounted in Kort nozzle. Driven by single motor controlled by a Hi-Tech forward/reverse speed controller and powered by 6V lead acid battery.
